We are an "HO Modular Club"

Modules

Several years ago when the Club retired the old portable layout, the members decided that in order to be able to promote the hobby, we needed a presence in the public. This would be accomplished by building a modular layout. This means that as a club, we have built a portable, transportable layout made up of several scenes which are self contained.

The members are responsible to build the straight sections and the club has built 6 outside corners and 2 inside corners. This allows us to set up in several configurations. We can set up in a square, a rectangle, an "L" shape and even a "U" shape. This gives us flexibility to set up anywhere.

Currently, we can put together a layout that has 236 feet of frontage, double that to 472 feet of running main line as the modules are built with a double main line. The modules are a mix of 4 foot, 6 foot and 8 foot lenghts and we even own a 2 foot piece to balance out everything.
